Hello Week

Hello Families!

Start with Hello week is September 19-23. This program is created through the Sandy Hook Promise to help students, teachers, parents, and community leaders feel more connected. Start with Hello is based on three simple steps:

  • See Someone Alone
  • Reach Out and Help
  • Start with Hello

This week of activities is to help reduce social isolation and increase connectivity among students. We are excited for these activities and hope your students enjoy this special week. Please encourage your students to reach out to new friends everyday!

Monday - Cougar Conversations: Use conversation starters at lunch to talk to a new friend. We will have a special visitor to get the conversations started!

Tuesday - Hey Day: What's your favorite way to say hello? Choose your hello word and use it all day

Wednesday - Words of Kindness: Send a hello gram to your friend, teacher or favorite person in the school! Notes will be available during lunch.

Thursday - Hello Challenge: How many people can you say hello to in a day? Class competition

Friday -  Green Day: The color green symbolizes a promise. Will you promise to always reach out to others in kindness? If so, wear green!
